PEOPLE-LEARNING: People learning to solve problems with people.
Blending organizational learning, cross-functional team building, and project based learning; all themes focusing on our most important resource; people.
It is our belief that people create there own problems, individually, or as a family, group, community, organization, company, City, Country, or a world. We created our environment. We created our hunger for energy, for newer, faster, exciting, stuff. We created our systems, our economies, our communities, our wars, our differences, etc. We can learn how to change, create, solve, heal, and to teach ourselves and others using the right skills and practice.
Over the years I have been hired as an expert to solve client problems, which are/were valid solutions to the problem at hand. However, invariably people had to implement the solution and not always will it work for those that have to live with the solution.
In 40+ years I learned it is more sustainable and rewarding to create partnerships with key people in client organizations and to draw solutions out of the people who must live with the solution. I learned to be the technical and coaching catalyst. I learned that engaging people early creates early buy-in and makes solution implementation easier.
We believe we can, and we need to learn how to solve our own problems. We see it in the results of our practice where clients who embrace new skills create solutions that work for the long term. My 40+ year practice has convinced me that developing, or re-developing the right skills and in the right environment will produce sustainable results.
These skills are not rocket science.
These skills are individual and group/community/organization exercises that produce true learning, healing, improvement, and what we all desire – community and acceptance.
Anthropologists and psychologists tell us that our brain is hard wired to want/need community and acceptance. Without these core needs we would not survive. We would be left alone to fend off the Saber-Toothed Tiger. Our survival instinct is to want community and acceptance.
Our workshops are for:
1) Executives wanting improvement or a stronger bottom-line. Managers who want to develop skills or desire coaching that will lead to a stronger-healthier-more productive-team, and how to use the brain trust their employees bring to work each day.
2) Organizations that want to develop skills to work together, to solve any problem, and to minimize creating future problems.
3) Teams that want to learn how to get to the right result in the most effective and efficient manner. Whether it is a process, people, environmental, safety, financial, or whatever problem.
4) Any group of people wanting to learn and to develop the basic kills we were not taught in grade school or preschool, or we were taught but they morphed into ways to suit ourselves as individuals, not as a family, community, team, or organization.
